This year the Naantali Music Festival celebrates 35 years, and a medieval abbey and churches in the archipelago are the venues for its concerts.
LISBON - The Stockholm Sinfonietta will join the line-up, along with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra conducted by Osmo Vanska, and not to be missed for families are the children’s festival on Saturday June 7th.
Since its early days in the 1980s, the festival has focussed on chamber music, and over the years a total of around 500 artists and 100 chamber ensembles and orchestras have appeared. Not only is it a must for Finnish classical-music lovers, it also attracts plenty of visitors from elsewhere.
