The New Zealand International Film Festival was launched in 2009 as the new, improved and consolidated version of several smaller events. The festival kicks off in Auckland and Wellington, then proceeds to 12 further locations, including Christchurch, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Tauranga and Masterton. AUSTRALA
Revelation began life in 1997 in the basement of a jazz venue in Perth, where films were presented on a 16mm projector from the back of the room. Now the event features around 120 international films screened at cinemas, galleries and other venues across the city, attracting huge crowds, and arguably has become Australia’s leading independent film event.
