Jules Massenet’s Manon is performed in March at the Met, New York, with the acclaimed soprano Diana Damrau as the heroine. She appears opposite tenor Vittorio Grigolo.
Conducted by Emmanuel Villaume, the production looks set to be an elegant interpretation of the opera – a story of love, elopement and revenge, set in France at the end of the 19th Century.
